Editorial Policy
This editorial policy documents how FXENA creates, reviews, and maintains content on our platform.
Purpose
FXENA's purpose is to provide independent, accurate, and useful information to help traders evaluate and compare forex brokers. All content is created to serve this purpose, not to promote any specific broker.
Research Standards
Our content is based on:
- Official regulator publications and databases (FCA, ASIC, CySEC, ESMA, and others)
- Official broker websites and regulatory disclosures
- Publicly available broker documentation
- Established financial industry knowledge
Source Hierarchy
When evaluating claims, we prioritise sources in this order:
- Official financial regulators (FCA, ASIC, CySEC, ESMA, NFA, CFTC)
- Official broker regulatory filings and disclosures
- Broker official websites and documentation
- Established financial industry publications
We do not cite unverified blogs or promotional content as authoritative sources.
Fact-Checking
Broker regulatory claims are verified against official regulator databases where possible. Regulatory warnings are checked against official regulator publications. Broker features (spreads, platforms, account types) are based on data provided by brokers or obtained from public sources.
Content Generation and AI
FXENA uses a combination of editorial content and AI-assisted content generation tools. AI-assisted content is used for:
- Generating draft broker profile content from structured broker data
- Creating draft educational guide content for review
- Summarising regulatory information
AI-assisted content is assigned a draft status and is intended to be reviewed by an editor before publication. The publishing workflow supports draft, pending review, approved, and published statuses. Editors are responsible for reviewing and approving content before it is made public. Broker scores are calculated using a deterministic formula, not generated by AI.
Updating Process
Broker data is reviewed periodically. Regulatory warnings are checked against official regulator publications. Content is updated when material changes are identified — such as a broker losing or gaining a regulatory licence, significant changes to trading conditions, or new regulatory warnings.
Corrections
If you believe any information on FXENA is incorrect or outdated, please contact us with supporting evidence. We will review the information and update it where appropriate.
Affiliate Relationships and Editorial Independence
FXENA may earn commissions through affiliate links when users open accounts with brokers. This does not influence:
- Broker scores or rankings
- The content of broker reviews
- Which brokers are included or excluded from the platform
- Regulatory warning display
Brokers cannot pay to improve their score or have regulatory warnings removed. See our Scoring Methodology for details.
Conflicts of Interest
FXENA is not owned by, or affiliated with, any forex broker. Our revenue model is based on affiliate commissions, which creates a potential conflict of interest. We manage this by applying our scoring formula identically to all brokers and by displaying regulatory warnings regardless of affiliate status.
Financial Risk Standards
All FXENA content is for comparison and educational purposes only and does not constitute investment advice. Trading forex and CFDs carries a high level of risk. You could lose substantially more than your initial investment. Always verify broker regulation directly with the relevant regulator before opening an account.
